The UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (UK HFCA), the industry body providing a common voice for the fuel cell and hydrogen sector, today launches its new website.
With a membership comprising the leading fuel cell and hydrogen companies in the UK, as well as a range of other stakeholders, from energy utilities to component developers, fuel suppliers and others involved both directly and indirectly in the industry, the UK HFCA works to accelerate the commercialisation of hydrogen and fuel cell energy.
www.ukhfca.co.uk is designed as the first point of information on the UK fuel cell and hydrogen industry and was created with both private and public sector stakeholders in mind. The site features data on markets, opportunities and applications as well as the latest industry and policy news, and information of UK HFCA campaigns. There is also a dedicated page aimed at overcoming the myths surrounding these clean energy technologies and providing key statistics on the current deployment levels.
Dennis Hayter, Chairman of the UK HFCA said: “The launch of the UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association website is extremely timely as our membership has been growing and this extended membership base strengthens our voice and influence. The UK HFCA website is a focal point for all stakeholders interested in the role and impact that fuel cells and hydrogen can offer in meeting UK economic and climate change objectives”.
To coincide with the launch, the UK HFCA also announced details of a forthcoming special session to update on the Association’s latest campaign aimed at ensuring that fuel cells and hydrogen can reach their full potential in the UK. This special session will be held on the 30th March as part of the ‘Generating the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Society’ conference at Birmingham’s NEC.
Dennis Hayter continues: “We invite all parties interested in contributing to the common industry effort to enhance the positioning of fuel cell and hydrogen energy across the UK energy landscape to attend this special meeting. There has never been a better time for our community to join forces and the next few months will be vital in determining the industry’s long term success”.
